QUOIN HEAD CAMPGROUND

Public BBQ

This remote campground, right next to the beach, offers an epic adventure deep within the Fitzgerald River National Park. The track leading to the camp is challenging, with the final descent being steep and rutted out, requiring a high clearance 4WD and lowered tyre pressures. However, the journey rewards with a beautiful, isolated location that often feels like a private sanctuary. With only four tight camping spots, it's a first-come-first-served situation. Do note that no amenities are provided, offering a true back-to-nature experience. The untouched beach is stunning, and a short hike opens up to another secluded beach on the south-western side of Quoin Beach, perfect for a refreshing dip. The location is about an hour out of Hopetoun, but the breathtaking views and the sense of tranquility make it well worth the rough journey. Remember, no campers or trailers are allowed, and the route might occasionally be closed due to environmental protection measures.
